Blackberry Bramble
If there was a match made in heaven, it’d be blackberries and bourbon.
Growing up I avoided berries. If they weren’t strawberries, I wasn’t eating them. This aversion must have been due to a rogue encounter with a sour raspberry or blueberry because I remember distinctly refusing offers of blueberries in the library as a midnight study snack in college. So you can imagine my delight as an adult to discover that I actually LOVE berries of all kinds!
This recipe combines a handful of ingredients to create a balance of citrus, herbs, and spice for a delightful Bourbon Whiskey cocktail! Get all the details below:
Ingredients:
2 oz Bourbon Whiskey
4 Blackberries
0.5 oz Simple Syrup
0.5 oz Lemon Juice
0.5 oz Grapefruit Juice
2 Sprigs of Rosemary
1 tsp Ginger Jam
Method:
Combine simple syrup, blackberries, and rosemary in your tin and muddle until blackberries are broken up.
Add in the remaining ingredients and top with ice.
Shake for about 20 seconds until the outside of your tin is chilled
Double strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with blackberries dipped in powdered sugar.
