Eras Tour: Reputation

Reputation came out two days before my 21st birthday so I was jamming out to This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things on our way to the bar so I could order my first legal drink at midnight - a Don Julio Margarita on the rocks with a salt rim. Best believe I rehearsed it in my head several times before placing my order.

This Reputation cocktail has a few ties back to the album- most importantly the snake like lemon garnish which is an absurdly long lemon peel that took me several tries to nail. The secret is to soak the lemon in water for a few minutes to soften the skin.

Reputation

Ingredients:

• 1/2 oz Simple Syrup

• 3/4 oz Ginger Liqueur

• 1 oz Lemon Juice

• 3 Lychee

• 2 oz Tequila

• Bubbles of Choice

Method:

In a shaker, muddle lychee with simple syrup and ginger liqueur. Add in fresh lemon juice and tequila, top with ice and shake for 10 seconds until chilled. Strain into a glass over fresh ice and top with bubbles of your choice. Garnish with lemon peel snake and enjoy!

I topped mine with Topo Chico for a clean crisp flavor but if you want to keep with the theme of songs off the Reputation, topping with champagne or prosseco will be a nice nod to New Years Day- my favorite song off the album.
