Minty Mocktail
Is there anything better than fresh mint in early spring? So fresh with the promise of summer just around the corner. It’s strong fresh flavors that are down right delightful when paired with citrus and bubbles. That formula is the base of some of my favorite classics like Mojitos, Old Cubans, or Mint Juleps. This mocktail is the perfect recipe for those times when you want something fun and refreshing without any alcohol or a go-to to have in my back pocket when I host friends who don’t imbibe.
Mint Syrup:
About 1 cup of mint leaves
1 cup of white sugar
1 cup of water
1 teaspoon of citric acid
Method: Add all ingredients to a blender and blend for a few seconds until the mint and sugar are incorporated. Using a fine mesh strainer, strain out all the mint bits from your syrup and save in a glass jar.
