Purple Swizzler

A swizzle is a type of cocktail that’s classically made with crushed ice and mixed with a swizzle stick! Classically they’re a Caribbean drink with a rum base and are mixed directly in the glass they’re served in. Most folks, including myself, do not have swizzle sticks on hand so a bar spoon will do just fine- just roll it back and forth between your palms!

Purple Swizzler

Ingredients

• 1 oz Grapefruit Syrup

• 2 oz Empress Gin

• 5 fresh mint leaves

• 1 oz Lime Juice

  Method

In a collins glass, combine mint and grapefruit syrup and lightly muddle, about 3 presses. Add in the remaining ingredients and fill to the top with crushed ice. Stir with a spoon until fully incorporated and garnish with fresh mint!
