A Year of Cocktails!

Cheers! Today I’m celebrating one year of sharing my cocktails with the world and the launch of my website! I’ve learned a lot over the last year, just looking at the difference between my first drink and my most recent drink is a bit shocking. To mark one year, I’m going to share my top ten drinks!

10. The Chocolate Covered Strawberry.

This drink was a valentines day cocktail that I made to mimic the flavors of a chocolate-covered strawberry! Featuring macerated strawberries, cocoa-infused whiskey, and chocolate Aztec bitters it was delicious and complex.

This drink was also created for my friend Kat’s Jewelry brand, No Allegiance New York! They’re launching their first line of jewelry this week so make sure to follow them for updates!

9. Thyme After Thyme

My most viewed reel of the year, coming in hot with 1.6k views, was a fun little tiki drink that I named after one of my all time favorite songs, Time After Time by Cindi Lauper! If you like Black Walnut Bitters as much as I do, then this one is for you.

8. Nothing Beet’s Tiki

This fun tiki drink was a part of my series of beet cocktails! You can read more about it in this blog post!

7. Sicilian Gimlet

To celebrate one year of cocktails, I did a re-shake series where I redid my first set of cocktails. This one is near and dear to my heart because it’s the drink that launched my page!

6. The Bahama Queen

I LOVE this drink! Created for my friends at Spirit Hub using a limited edition bottle of Bourbon Barreled Gin from Transformation Spirits in Kentucky, this drink packs a punch! My number one taste tester (my mom) says that it’s her favorite drink that I’ve ever made!

5. Thin Mint Madness

Thin Mint Madness was my first drink to break 100 likes on Instagram. A fun milestone for me! I also happened to post it on National Chocolate Mint Day without even knowing that NCMD was a thing! Now I call that serendipity!

4. Blackberry Bramble

Blackberries and bourbon might just be my favorite combination of all time! Read more about this drink in my blog post here!

3. Witches Brew

Where there’s smoke theres fire. Since I used a smokey mezcal in this drink, I figured it would be fun to top it with a flaming lime. This was my first time playing with fire in one of my cocktails! It was tough to figure out at first but you can read more about this drink in this blog post!

2. In The Land Of Milk & Honey

Of all of my drinks, I think I might be most proud of this one! This recipe just came to me and it was perfect on the first try. I was able to test out different techniques, like creating a coconut lime granita, but the flavors just blended together so perfectly. I would highly recommend this drink to everyone!

1, Toasted Coconut Key Lime Ramos Gin Fizz

Coming in at number one is this coconut key lime Ramos Gin Fizz. Not only is it delicious, but it’s also one of the harder drinks to make. This cocktail was my first brand partnership with a company that I love working with, Spirit Hub, and this is my most liked post of year one! You can get the full recipe here.

Thank you all for joining me on this crazy journey so far. I can’t wait to see all that we accomplish over the next year and the years to come!
