Beet, Drink & Be Merry

This drink is loosely based off of a cocktail my good friend Aliza had at the last concert we attended- a Soggy Po Boys show at the @pressroomnh in Portsmouth NH in October of 2019! I only had one sip of her cocktail but it was the first time I remember ever hearing of using beets in a cocktail!

To make it my own I used a refreshing Mosto Verde @caravedopisco (vodka would be a good substitute), pink peppercorns for spice, and my homemade @biottajuices Beet Syrup! I’m so happy with the color and taste overall!

I’m looking forward to seeing live music again, when that day comes I’m heading straight to the Press Room! In the mean time, stay tuned this week for more delicious beet cocktails!

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Pisco

  • 1 oz Beet Syrup

  • 1 oz Lemon Juice

  • 1 pinch Dried Thyme

  • 1 pinch Crushed Pink Peppercorns

Method:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds.

  2. Double strain your cocktail over a large ice cube in a tumbler glass rimmed with crushed pink peppercorns.

  3. Garnish with a lemon twist. Enjoy!
